Great breakfast place in FoCo. It's a really cute little place with a homey atmosphere and delicious food. I loved the Salmon Scrambler and the Californian skillet. The Eggs Benedicts do not disappoint either. Their toast is extremely thick and soft. I also love their array of hot sauces they provide. Fair prices, and service has always been polite and friendly.

I highly recommend this place. I've been coming here for 5 years and I'm always happy with them. It's a nice small quant place but the food is what's really excellent. Skillets are their thing but everything on the menu is good. I'll always come back when I'm in town.

I got a veg skillet here and enjoyed it. Friends got eggs benedict and waffles. I don't see a problem with this place. Easy access, close to campus/old town, and good value. I'll have to go back and try it again.

So hard to rank this place in the FC breakfast scene. I don't know if it should be a tie for first place or second place. Tough call but in any case, you can't go wrong here. There is a wait, just like at the other breakfast places. Once you sit down though, the service is fast and friendly. Can't go wrong with this menu. I had the Kentucky cornbread. Wow!!Delicious and large. You may need to get a to-go bag for this one. A lot of food and the prices are reasonable. Everyone can find something they absolutely love here. Hurry in!

Yet another wonderful breakfast joint in FoCo! The portions are big and tasty, and the service is great! While you wouldn't be able to tell what a wonderful gem this place is from the outside, it is definitely very homey once you enter! My favorite dish is the hobo skillet! Which has a bit of everything in it! Throw on some chalula and it is one of the best breakfasts in town! I am still partial to Lucile's but this place definitely ranks in my top 5 breakfast places in FoCo!!! A must try!

Decent food. Hit or miss service. The worst bike rack in Fort Collins. (Seriously, the bicycle parking is laughably bad for a Fort Collins business.)

We got their starvin Marvin breakfast. The bacon was bland.. They also don't have sweet n low so my tea wasn't sweet. Their eggs are on point though!! And my kids loved the Mickey Mouse pancakes. Overall.. I wouldn't give this place five stars but maybe three.. Village inn has bigger booths and better customer service.

This is our favorite breakfast place in town. Right across the street from campus but never overrun with college students. There will probably be a wait on weekends but totally worth it. Try the daily special, I've meet been disappointed. The staff is consistent with low turnover. My breakfast is always delicious and eggs cooked perfectly. We will continue to eat here whenever we can.

It's ok.. Nothing special. I could make these plates at home for half the cost and 10x the flavor. (which it definitely lacks!!) I'm lucky to walk out of here with a $40 bill. Whatever happened to a cheap decent breakfast?

Been here a few times and there has always been a wait but then again Fort Collins doesn't have a big breakfast restaurant scene to start with and every breakfast place seems to have a wait. I have always been happy with their skillets and benedicts, this weekend I ventured out to the country fried steak and eggs and I really liked it. The steak isn't cooked to order as it's thin but it's fried up right and topped with gravy, so good and it's not dry. Eggs cooked the way I like them and home fries. It's a filling meal.

Came to this place because it had some great reviews. I must say it was just ok. Their whole wheat toast was really good but everything else we had was just eh.

Cafe Bluebird was awesome. Stopped in for a late breakfast on a weekday and it was pretty empty. Luckily it was snowing that morning and we were able to look out the windows as if we were in a snowglobe. I had the toasted pecan coffee (great, not overly flavored) and a scramble which came with awesome potatoes and thick wheat toast. Their selection of hot sauces is extensive and top-notch. My friend asked to substitue a pancake for the potatoes and they didn't mind at all which was nice. The menu has a lot of great options and I wouldn't mind being a regular here if I lived nearby.

Fort Collins certainly has a nice selection of Breakfast / Bruch places to choose from, but if you haven't been to Cafe Bluebird yet then you're missing out. I had the pleasure to visit this place on Mother's day this year and while the wait was long, I would say that the food was worth it. As I sat outside duing a beautiful Spring Sunday morning, I decided to pull up Yelp on this place to help fill the time we spent waiting for a table. I read review after review and I noticed a trend that most people tend to think that the food is good, but not great. They'd say the service is bettween mediocre to amazing. So, I used this information as my canvas as I finally got shown to our table approximately 30 minutes or so after arriving. The restaurant has a patio are that has several tables and on such a beautiful day, I would've loved to have received a table there but we were seated at booth in the main dining area instead. They were clearly busy and in spite of the heavy traffic I'd say that the serving team were in good spirits and their respective tables appeared to all be well taken care of. Our waitress, was polite and was quick with the ordering and delivering of our food. I underestimated the size of the portions of their food. I ordered the Juarez without eggs and I was worried that it might not be enough to fill me up, but when it came out on a hot cast iron skillett it was massive. 3 inches deep and about 8 inches wide of layered skillet potatoes with veggies, black beans, chorizo sausage, melted jack and cheddar, salsa fresca and red chili corn tortilla strips. I was full half way through but I kept eating because it was that good (damn near finished it too)! Excellent place for the occasional gorging on delicious breakfast fare! I highly recommend!

Went here for the first time today. I am generally a Snooze girl and I cant get enough eggs Benedict. EVER. So I actually woke up and was about to make some Hollandiase sauce when I thought. "its always better when someone else makes breakfast" So I hopped on my trike and headed out. Upon arrival i noticed there were a few open tables on the patio. I had my sights set. There were three parties ahead of me who were all sat on the patio- poop. No outside for me. I was waiting when two more parties showed up (noonish on a friday) and they asked if there were so many empty tables- why would it be ten minutes to be seated to which the hostess replied- "we had a bunch of people all show up at the same time so I am trying to give the servers and kitchen time to catch up" Fair enough. I was seated within 15 minutes of walking in. Unfortunately I did not see the "breakfast until 11:30 weekdays" at the top of the online menu I had looked at that morning. There were brunch options on the lunch menu but... no Hollandaise- sad face. But I made due. Honestly- I was so over the top pleased with my "hobo skillet" that I can only imagine how happy I would have been if I could have gotten "the country" that I pretty much had my heart set on before I even left the house. It was perfect little diced potatoes with sauteed veggies and ham with cheese and two eggs and homemade wheat toast. Wow. That toast blew my mind. It was a big thick cut. A perfect crunch to the outside and I might have thought the inside was constructed of wheat flavored clouds. It was so fluffy and yeah- just wow. The perfect amount of ham (it wasn't over the top salty because of this) and the veggies were perfect. I was very very surprised with how great everything was. And not to mention my server who was attentive but not annoying- peppy and enthusiastic but not sickeningly so. I will definitely get back there when the full breakfast menu is available. My thoughts- DO IT!

Had an amazing breakfast this morning. I had a veggie omelet that was to die for and my husband had the biscuits and gravy. The homemade bread was excellent. Try the pecan coffee...yum!

Think I might be getting old and set in my ways...when we want to go out for Sunday breakfast it's usually here and we order the same things every time with an occasional blueberry coffee cake . He gets the Juarez and maybe orders something different twice a year. I go back and forth between the two crab dishes. Never been for lunch. After trying to chill on the dining out after the holidays, we couldn't stand it any longer. My husband and I both had the same thought last Sunday morning- Bluebird. Discovered they changed the menu and took off the crab and egg crepes. Big Boo! Guess enough people didn't order it but I always got that or the crab cake benedict. Maybe I'll start trying something new... Love that they have a variety of both Horsetooth and Boulder Hot Sauces as every good breakfast spot should.

Went for breakfast yesterday. The skillets were awesome and the waitress was very knowledgable about different vegetarian options and knew tons of information about the cafe. The breads were delicious and the portion size was just right.

Steak and Eggs with a side of bacon and there homemade wheat toast. They had 3 coffees to offer. A dark roast, house blend , and a featured flavor. I went with the dark roast and it was a great choice. Hmmm. Service is great and the place was bustling right along. First impression.... My plate was lasered. What I mean by that is it was def placed in the microwave to heat it up a touch. It had a "hotness" to it only explained By the zapper. I like warm food, but if it has to be placed in the microwave it loses flavor and I lose my desire to eat it. Its not too often that you burn you lips on eggs. Coffee sure, but eggs???? I did like their homemade toast it was thick cut and was quite delectable. Now the question at hand, will I return??? I would say more than likely not. With so many options in the foco region, that do do a great job day in and day out, I do not need to get middle of the road food.

Had breakfast here this morning after reading about it online. It was all that the good reviews said, very, very cordial staff and plenty of great food and the price is reasonable for what you receive. The "hash-brown potatoes are fantastic. As was the Hobo Skillet and the extra thick wheat toast is HUGE. Highly recommend this cafe to anyone. Located right on the northern limits of Colorado State U campus.

Cafe Bluebird is a nice spot for breakfast, located across the street from campus so largely serving a CSU clientele. On any given weekend there's likely to be a short wait for a table, so enjoy a cup of complimentary coffee while you wait. Their menu includes a number of scrambles, crepes, skillets, and benedicts -- nothing particularly spectacular but more involved than anything I'm likely to make for myself at home. On my most recent visit I tried the Florentine crepes -- crepes stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, and scrambled eggs (maybe some cheese, too?) served with Hollandaise sauce, a side of potatoes, and whole-wheat toast. The crepes were way under-seasoned ... I almost never use salt and pepper at the table but found myself sprinkling, tasting, and sprinkling again. Perhaps the problem was that there wasn't enough Hollandaise -- I suppose the scant serving (and the completely unseasoned filling) could have been a nod to health-consciousness, but really if I am going out for breakfast it is meant to be a splurge. Surprisingly the best part of the meal was the toast.

We had a Delicious breakfast on the small front porch today. At 11 am on a Saturday. We did not have any wait. The server told us sometimes the line is out the door and a lengthy wait. Large selection of breakfast regulars and gourmet selections. We loved the grain bread and French toast. Good service.

Despite the name there is not one blue bird cafe has nothing blue and not many bird items on the menu. What you will find on the menu are many egg and and potato dishes. There are several vegetarian options in each area of the menu. There are crepes, 3 egg omelets, skillets and benedicts. I opted for the Californian skillet .8.75. It was a skillet with potatoes melted cheese, guacamole two eggs and two slices of toast. The skillet it self was a bit smaller than expected, and the guacamole was a store bough variety. It was decent but for almost $9 I did not see the value. The inside was very early 90's breakfast. My friends got coffee and at $3 a cup again the value was lacking. Overall the food is decent but not worth the prices. We sat on the patio where they use cheap plastic patio chairs

Their pastries are wonderful, but their service is terrible.My experience was not just an off day for them. I've been in about five times and every time I'm treated as if I'm a bother to them and the workers consistently demonstrate major attitude. If they ditched their attitude, smiled, and sincerely appreciated the people who want to spend money at their establishment, this cafe would explode with business.
